How to Join

Enrollment in the San Bernardino County 4-H Youth Development Program is open year-round. The annual enrollment fee is $50 for youth members and $35 for adult volunteers. All adult volunteers are required to complete a fingerprint background check and submit a Volunteer Interest Survey before their application will be reviewed.

4-H members select one or more projects that align with their interests—whether it's cooking, shooting sports, robotics, rabbits, horses, sewing, civic engagement, or countless other possibilities. Each project is led by a trained adult volunteer who guides youth through hands-on learning experiences.

In addition to project work, 4-H offers opportunities for members to build confidence through public speaking and demonstrations—valuable skills that prepare youth for success in interviews, leadership roles, scholarship applications, and beyond.
